BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Top-seeded Holy Cross (29-23, 17-8 PL) welcomes No. 3 Army West Point (25-23, 14-11 PL) in the best two-of-three-game 2025 Patriot League Baseball Championship Series when it begins on Sunday, May 18 at Fitton Field.
The start of the championship series was pushed back one day due to the potential of thunderstorms in Worcester area on Saturday. Live coverage of each game of the Patriot League Baseball Championship Series will be available live on ESPN+ with Corey Nidoh providing play-by-play and Paige Messier reporting from the sideline.
The six-time defending Patriot League Champion Black Knights aim for the program’s 14th League crown and third under head coach Chris Tracz after a dramatic 10-innning, game-three win against No. 2 Navy in the semifinals. Two-time Patriot League Coach of the Year Ed Kahovec returned Holy Cross to the Patriot League Championship Series for the first time since 2017, when the Crusaders swept Bucknell, marking the last team to win a League crown before Army West Point’s current streak.

ARMY VS. HOLY CROSS CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY: Army West Point and Holy Cross have played 15 games in six postseason series. The Black Knights have gone 10-5, winning five of the six best-two-of-three-game series’, capturing the League crown in 2012 and 2013. The Crusaders’ lone series win against the Black Knights came in a 2-0 sweep in the 2017 semifinals. Holy Cross went on to win the 2017 League crown, marking the last team to win it before the Black Knights reeled off six straight Patriot League titles.
