Tamil Nadu Exit Poll Results 2026 Highlights: As the Election Commission prepares to announce the Tamil Nadu election results on May 4, today’s exit polls provide the first significant insights into the expected outcomes.

According to the News18 exit poll, the coalition led by the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam is anticipated to surpass the majority threshold in Tamil Nadu with 119 seats, just above the halfway mark of 118 in the 234-member Assembly.

The bloc led by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam is projected to secure 108 seats, indicating a tightly contested race between the two major Dravidian parties. Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam is estimated to win 7 seats.

The polling for all 234 Assembly constituencies in Tamil Nadu wrapped up on April 23, featuring a record voter turnout exceeding 85%, the highest since independence, according to the Election Commission of India.

This surge in voter engagement lays the groundwork for a closely monitored contest, with vote counting set for May 4.

The turnout significantly outpaces previous records, including the 78% marked in 2011, reversing the decline seen in the 2016 and 2021 elections, and showcasing a renewed enthusiasm among voters in the state.
