PM Modi Appreciates Youth for Constructive Feedback on Paper Leak Legislation; Instagram Reel Breaks Viewership Records

PM Modi commemorates the anniversary of the Emergency, deems it one of India's most somber periods.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed gratitude on Friday for the positive feedback and suggestions received in response to his video announcement regarding a new law aimed at penalizing those involved in paper leaks.

In his video message, Modi stated that a new bill with stringent measures against paper leaks will be presented during the ongoing session of Parliament next week.

The proposed bill, which Modi mentioned in an Instagram video shared late Thursday night, received approval from the Union Cabinet on Friday.
“Thank you, friends. I had the chance to speak with you at midnight. I appreciate the way you’ve reacted to my video and the positive suggestions you’ve shared. Your love and support will strengthen our bonds. Thank you, thank you, friends,” he conveyed in the new video message released on his Instagram account.

Modi set a new world record for the most views on a reel within 24 hours, amassing 303 million views to date.

The previous record stood at 300 million views.

This outreach to the youth occurred four days after thousands of students, led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), participated in the ‘Sansad Chalo’ march to demand the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in examinations.
