EC mandates re-election in 15 polling stations across 2 assembly constituencies in Bengal on May 2.

Maharashtra Municipal Election: How to Locate Your Nearby Polling Station
On Friday, the Election Commission announced a repoll for 15 polling stations across two Assembly constituencies in the South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, scheduled for May 2, due to reports of electoral irregularities.

The repolls will take place in 11 polling stations in the Magrahat Paschim Assembly constituency and four in Diamond Harbour.

According to the EC’s directive, the voting will occur between 7 am and 6 pm.
Voting in these constituencies occurred during the second phase of the state elections on April 29.

This decision for a repoll was made following information gathered from returning officers and observers of the two constituencies, considering “material circumstances” relevant to the situation.

The BJP claimed widespread electoral fraud in specific polling stations within both districts, which fall under the Diamond Harbour Lok Sabha constituency, represented by TMC National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee.

The Election Commission assigned special observer Subrata Gupta to investigate the allegations on-site.
