AIADMK Expels Leaders Supporting TVK as EPS Addresses Internal Dissension
In a notable organizational shift in Tamil Nadu, Edappadi K. Palaniswami, General Secretary of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, has declared the dismissal of several party officials who supported Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.

This action targets influential leaders within the party framework, revoking the roles of MLAs who served as party officials. Those affected include S. P. Velumani, C. V. Shanmugam, and C. Vijayabaskar, all of whom have lost their organizational duties for backing TVK.

Additionally, Natham Viswanathan has been dismissed from his positions as AIADMK Deputy General Secretary and Dindigul East District Secretary. This decision represents a further consolidation of the party’s stance against leaders who align with competing political factions.
In a separate decision, C. Ve. Shanmugam has been released from his roles as Organising Secretary and Villupuram District Secretary. These alterations signify a broader restructuring within the party’s organizational hierarchy following instances of support given to TVK.

This move highlights the party leadership’s commitment to enforcing disciplinary measures against officials who strayed from the party line by supporting TVK, leading to the removal of several leaders from their positions.
