The Times of India (TOI) quoted Stalin expressing his desire to avoid a constitutional crisis in Tamil Nadu.
The DMK leader indicated that the party would allow actor-turned-politician Vijay to head the government in Tamil Nadu, stating they would “observe without interference for six months,” according to TOI.
Nevertheless, Stalin emphasized that he expects the new administration to maintain the welfare schemes initiated during DMK’s governance.

“The new government should uphold the free breakfast program for schoolchildren,” Stalin remarked, according to TOI.
“Additionally, ‘Kalaignar magalir urimai thogai’ (₹1,000 monthly assistance to women heads of household) must continue,” he added.
He mentioned that it might be challenging for Vijay to fulfill his pledge of providing ₹2,500 to women during the election campaign.
“At least give them ₹1,000 as we did,” he was quoted by TOI.

By allowing TVK to take charge, the DMK chief also dispelled rumors regarding a potential alliance between AIADMK and DMK.
