The appointment was made by BJP national president Nitin Nabin, who assigned Tripathi the role of Rashtriya Sangathak (Vishishth Karyakarta Sampark). As noted by BJP national general secretary (organisation) Arun Singh, Tripathi’s office will be located in Delhi.
“National president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Nitin Nabin, has appointed Nagendra Nath Tripathi as the party’s Rashtriya Sangathak (Vishishth Karyakarta Sampark),” stated BJP national general secretary (organisation) Arun Singh in an announcement.

Who is Nagendra Nath Tripathi?
Nagendra, a senior organisational leader within the BJP, is recognized for his extensive efforts in reinforcing the party’s internal structure and grassroots network.
According to Livemint, he hails from a farming family in Belauli village of Sant Kabir Nagar district in Uttar Pradesh, previously part of Basti district. He is the eldest son of Girija Pati Tripathi and Ganesha Devi.
Currently, he serves as the Regional Organisation General Secretary for Bihar and Jharkhand. Prior to this, he was the Organisation General Secretary for Uttar Pradesh for nearly eight years.
Tripathi has been involved with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) since his school days, initially joining a local RSS shakha in Basti during his childhood and later working as a pracharak, contributing to outreach activities.
He has also engaged with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the student wing of the RSS, in various organisational capacities.
In 2003, he was designated as the BJP’s Organisation General Secretary in Uttar Pradesh. During this time, he concentrated on expanding the party structure down to the booth level, training workers, and overseeing organisational tasks related to elections. After approximately eight years, he transferred to Bihar in 2011 in the same capacity.
In 2021, he was appointed as the Regional Organisation General Secretary for Bihar and Jharkhand, where he managed coordination between the BJP and RSS, alongside organisational growth and election strategies in the area.
