Netanyahu promoted measures that intensified the Iran crisis, according to a report.

Trump indicates a US-Iran agreement may be reached “soon,” perhaps as early as this weekend, as diplomatic initiatives to resolve the conflict gain traction in the region. Stay updated on the latest developments in the West Asia conflict.

The US and Iran seemed to edge closer to negotiations on Thursday, with President Donald Trump suggesting that a deal could be finalized “soon,” potentially within the weekend. He noted that he believed Iran’s Supreme Leader had approved the proposed framework.

This diplomatic initiative coincides with escalating regional efforts to ease tensions.

Israel’s Prime Minister’s Office announced that Trump had a conversation with Benjamin Netanyahu regarding an emerging memorandum of understanding designed to encourage Iran’s participation in negotiations.

Although Israel is not directly involved in the proposed agreement, Netanyahu expressed his appreciation for Trump’s assurance that any final deal would consider Iran’s enriched uranium reserves, enrichment capabilities, missile program, and support for armed groups in the region.

Nonetheless, Iranian diplomats have reaffirmed that discussions will primarily focus on the immediate goal of ending the war, with topics such as nuclear concerns to be addressed later.

In another indicator of diplomatic efforts, senior security officials from the UAE and Iran engaged in direct talks to avert further escalation, as reported by Bloomberg.

Simultaneously, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei accused the US of engaging in “armed robbery and State piracy” following attacks on Indian commercial vessels that reportedly resulted in the deaths of at least three Indian nationals, urging the international community to hold Washington accountable.
