Power Grid to construct transmission infrastructure for Rajasthan power facility
Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd has successfully won the bid under the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) framework for a project that entails establishing an inter-state transmission system at the 765/400/220kV Fatehgarh-II Power Station on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) model.

The state-owned power transmission entity received the Letter of Intent (LoI) for this initiative on July 17, 2026, as reported in an exchange filing.

This project includes the installation and commissioning of two synchronous condensers (SynCon) at the Fatehgarh-II Power Station, along with the necessary bays.
Power Grid announced its selection as the winning bidder through the TBCB process and will carry out the project on a BOOT basis.

The firm did not reveal the project’s financial details or the timeline for its execution.

On Friday, shares of Power Grid closed 0.87% higher at ₹283.20 on the NSE.
