Both devices will be available on Flipkart and the Lava India website starting July 31. The company has also announced that both smartphones will offer doorstep after-sales service.
Lava Virat V1, Virat V1 5G: Pricing and Availability
The Lava Virat V1 is priced at ₹9,999 but will launch at a special price of ₹8,999. The Lava Virat V1 5G is priced at ₹12,999, with an introductory offer of ₹11,999.
This promotional pricing is only valid on July 31, after which both smartphones will revert to their standard prices.
The Virat V1 4G is available in Nilgiri Blue and Himalayan Silver, whereas the Virat V1 5G comes in Arya Blue and Sonar Gold.
Display and Design
Both models feature a 6.75-inch HD+ display and hold an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. They also retain the classic 3.5mm headphone jack. The Virat V1 5G boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, while the Virat V1 offers a 90Hz refresh rate.
In terms of aesthetics, both smartphones have a rectangular frame design with plastic backs. However, the Virat V1 5G showcases a redesigned camera module and a textured rear panel, while the 4G model sports a more straightforward matte finish.
Processor, RAM, and Battery
The Virat V1 5G is powered by the Unisoc T8200 octa-core chipset, while the Virat V1 utilizes the Unisoc SC9863A octa-core processor. Both smartphones come equipped with 4GB of RAM and support an additional 4GB of virtual RAM.
Both the Lava Virat V1 5G and the standard Lava Virat V1 4G include 64GB of internal storage, though their expandable storage capacities vary. The 5G version supports expansion up to 1TB, whereas the 4G version allows for up to 256GB.
The 5G model is fitted with a 6,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging, while the 4G version contains a 5,000mAh battery with the same charging capability.
Camera and Software
The Lava Virat V1 and Virat V1 5G feature a dual rear camera setup, led by a 13-megapixel primary sensor. For selfies and video chats, they both include a 5-megapixel front camera. On the software side, the Virat V1 5G comes with Android 16, while the Virat V1 is equipped with Android 15 Go Edition.
