On June 27, the ministry released an advisory mentioning that they have received multiple requests for help from Indian nationals stranded in Nepal, attempting the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra through tours facilitated by private operators, lacking the required entry permits and visas for China.
The MEA cautioned against beginning the journey from India without all essential travel documents for the entire trip being in order.
“Initiating travel without confirmed documentation or in expectation of obtaining the required documentation raises the risk of becoming stranded,” the ministry remarked.
Furthermore, the ministry strongly recommended that pilgrims ensure their tour operator is properly registered and authorized prior to embarking on the yatra.
