Earlier in the match, Krishna excelled with the ball, taking 5 wickets for 23 runs in 8.2 overs after Afghanistan chose to bat first. Captain Hashmatullah Shahidi fought hard with a century and Azmatullah Omarzai contributed a half-century, but Afghanistan was bowled out for 218 in 44.2 overs.
This victory marked India’s 18th bilateral ODI series clean sweep, adding to their previous wins in Dharamsala and Lucknow.
