RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale remarked that the alleged pilfering from the temple’s donation boxes has led to considerable distress among Lord Ram’s followers.
“This unfortunate theft of money from the temple’s donation boxes has deeply wounded the feelings and faith of the entire community and millions of devotees of Lord Ram. We are all heartbroken and troubled by this incident,” he stated.
Hosabale expressed gratitude for the Uttar Pradesh government’s decision to set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) in response to a request from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, urging authorities to ensure that anyone found guilty faces appropriate legal consequences.
“It is crucial to guarantee that anyone determined to be guilty in the investigation is brought to justice and subjected to the harshest penalties as prescribed by law,” he added.
The RSS leader also called upon the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust to regard this incident as significant and implement corrective measures to enhance the temple’s administration and management.
He emphasized that the trust must address deficiencies in its operational and financial practices to maintain the unwavering faith of devotees and alleviate the prevailing “confusion and uncertainty” surrounding the incident.
Hosabale further accused “anti-Hindu and anti-national forces” of attempting to exploit this situation to undermine Hinduism and urged the public to remain composed and patient.
He called on the Hindu community to avoid allowing such “conspiracies” to succeed by acting impulsively during this challenging time.
Expressing trust in the temple authorities, Hosabale stated that improved financial oversight, transparent administrative practices, and adherence to religious principles would help restore public confidence in the Ayodhya temple.
The suspected theft of donations from the Ram Temple has garnered significant attention, with the government-designated SIT probing the issue and legal actions initiated based on its recommendations.
