This notification has been forwarded to the governor of West Bengal, officially signaling the end of the election cycle and preparing for the establishment of a new government.
A senior official from the EC stated that the notification’s issuance is a significant constitutional milestone following the announcement of results.
“With this, the commission has completed its role in forming the new assembly in West Bengal. It facilitates the subsequent steps in the government formation process as per established protocols,” the official mentioned.
He also noted that the commission ensured compliance with all regulations throughout the election process.
“The entire procedure, from voting to counting, was executed in a free, fair, and transparent manner, adhering to the legal framework,” he explained.
Officials indicated that the notification clears the way for the inauguration of elected officials and the establishment of the new government in the state.
