The contest is primarily between the incumbent Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF), while the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) strives to enhance its foothold in the state.
Exit poll results for Kerala will be disclosed once the voting for the second phase of the West Bengal elections is finished on April 29. The counting of votes for both Kerala and other states is set for May 4.
2021: Exit polls forecast LDF victory
In the 2021 Kerala Assembly elections, the majority of exit polls pointed towards a decisive lead for the Left Democratic Front (LDF).
The ABP C-Voter exit poll estimated that the LDF would surpass the majority threshold with projections of 71 to 77 seats, while placing the Congress-led UDF in the range of 62 to 68 seats. It also indicated that the BJP-led NDA would remain minor players with 0 to 2 seats.
The India Today-Axis My India exit poll predicted an even stronger outcome for the LDF, estimating between 104 to 120 seats. It forecasted between 20 to 36 seats for the UDF and minimal representation for the NDA with estimates of 0 to 2 seats.
Upon announcement of the results, the LDF returned to power with 99 seats, the UDF claimed 41 seats, and the BJP did not secure any seats.

In 2016, the Axis My India exit poll estimated 94 seats for the LDF, 43 for the UDF, and a small showing for the BJP and others. The C-Voter exit poll projected 78 seats for the LDF and 58 for the UDF, along with approximately two seats for the BJP and others.
When the results were declared, the LDF, led by CPI(M), triumphed with 91 seats in the 140-member Assembly. The UDF garnered 47 seats, while the BJP and Independents each secured a seat.
