KL Rahul Hits 6th IPL Century, Leads Delhi Capitals to Record Partnership Against Punjab Kings

KL Rahul achieved his first century of the season and the sixth of his IPL career during the match between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings on Saturday. The DC opener reached this milestone in just 47 deliveries, scoring 12 fours and five sixes to guide his team towards a formidable total.

He received solid support from Nitish Rana, who seemed on track for a century of his own but was dismissed for 74 by Yuzvendra Chahal in the 17th over. The pair put together a 192-run partnership, the highest for Delhi against any team in IPL history.

Rahul’s explosive innings also propelled him ahead of Virat Kohli in the Orange Cap standings, with the DC captain now leading the run-scoring charts this season.
Delhi Capitals skipper Axar Patel won the toss and opted to bat against the league-leading Punjab Kings on Saturday. The hosts, currently sixth in the table, maintained the same lineup as their previous match, as did Punjab Kings, who are sitting comfortably at the top with five victories in six games.
