Visakhapatnam to Launch First International Cruise Service on July 15, Featuring 14-Day Southeast Asia Itinerary
Cordelia Cruises is set to launch the inaugural international cruise service from Visakhapatnam on July 15, marking a significant milestone for overseas journeys from the city’s international terminal and introducing the eastern port to international cruise operations.

The cruise will feature a 14-day itinerary throughout Southeast Asia, departing from Visakhapatnam and first heading to Chennai. The ship will spend two days in Chennai, providing travelers time to explore the city before continuing into international waters.

The planned route includes stops at Phuket in Thailand, Langkawi and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, and Singapore. The voyage also incorporates designated sea days, where the ship will remain at sea as part of the schedule between ports.

This launch signifies the first international cruise service operating from Visakhapatnam, broadening departure options beyond current ports and offering a fresh starting point for international cruise travel along India’s eastern coast.

For travelers, the entry requirements for the destinations on this route have been detailed. No visa is needed for Thailand and Malaysia, while Singapore provides a visa on arrival. Passengers must carry a valid passport with at least six months of validity to embark on the journey.

The service uniquely combines both domestic and international stops within a single itinerary, starting with a departure from Visakhapatnam, followed by a stop in Chennai, and then onward travel to Southeast Asian destinations before completing the route.
