Iran-US-Israel War News LIVE Updates: Iran dismisses negotiations under duress as Israel launches strikes in southern Lebanon despite a 10-day truce; US claims it’s prevailing in the conflict, and rival delegations might meet in Islamabad.

Iran-US-Israel War LIVE Updates: Efforts to alleviate tensions in the continuing conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel are fraught with uncertainty, as Tehran insists it will not engage in discussions under pressure.

Iranian officials stated that they would not participate in talks occurring under the “shadow of threats,” according to Al Jazeera.

In contrast, US President Donald Trump claimed that American forces are excelling in the conflict. Trump emphasized that the United States was “winning a war by a significant margin,” noting that military actions were progressing “very well.” He also criticized the coverage from major US media outlets, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post, in a post on his social media platform Truth Social.

“If you read the Fake News… you would actually think we are losing the war,” Trump remarked, adding that the “enemy is confused” due to such reporting.

Meanwhile, Israel persisted with air strikes in southern Lebanon, disregarding a temporary 10-day ceasefire. Reports indicate six individuals were injured in an air attack on the town of Qaaqaaiyet El Jisr, and homes were destroyed in Khiam, raising alarm over potential violations of the truce, as reported by Al Jazeera.

Focus is now shifting to possible negotiations in Islamabad. A US delegation led by Vice President JD Vance is anticipated to visit Pakistan for discussions aimed at resolving the conflict. The delegation might also include Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff and senior adviser Jared Kushner.

Iran could send a delegation led by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, though his attendance may hinge on whether Vance is present at the meeting, according to AFP.

The suggested talks arise from prior negotiations in Islamabad that did not result in any significant breakthroughs, with both parties accusing one another of violating ceasefire agreements.
