Virat Kohli achieved his ninth Indian Premier League (IPL) century as he crossed the three-figure mark against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur on Wednesday.
Chasing a target of 193, Kohli’s innings included 11 boundaries and three sixes, remaining not out at 105 to lead his team to victory.
In doing so, Kohli also reached the milestone of 14,000 runs in T20 cricket, placing him sixth on the all-time top-scorers list, trailing only Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Alex Hales, David Warner, and Jos Buttler.
Kohli entered this match after experiencing two consecutive ducks in his previous games. Initially, Prince Yadav had dismissed him in Lucknow, followed by Deepak Chahar getting the upper hand with the new ball in Raipur.
