Trump claims the U.S. is achieving significant victories in Iran as strikes extend into their sixth consecutive night.

US-Iran War Live Updates: US President Donald Trump announced that America was “achieving significant success in Iran” and that the “results of that effort would be evident very soon,” as US forces initiated another round of strikes against Iran for the sixth night in a row.

The fresh wave of attacks started at 2 pm ET on Thursday, with the US indicating that the operation sought to further impair Iran’s military strength.

The strikes targeted various locations in Iran, including a bridge and a railway station, while Tehran responded with assaults aimed at US military installations in the region. Iran asserted it successfully targeted US helicopters and surveillance aircraft at Bahrain’s Sakhir airbase, leading to air raid sirens and prompting officials to advise residents to take shelter.

The recent US attacks also caused damage to power lines in and around the southern Iranian city of Bandar Abbas, as reported by Iran’s Energy Ministry, though electricity was subsequently restored in several areas.

Tehran has cautioned that the Strait of Hormuz will “never return to its previous state before the 40-day conflict,” amid ongoing concerns about the war’s effects on crucial global energy and shipping routes.
