Traveling with Air India Express? You can now accumulate and use Maharaja Club points on these routes.

Air India Express Introduces PayDay Sale with Reduced Fares on Domestic and International Flights
Air India announced an expansion of its Maharaja Club loyalty programme on Tuesday, now including Air India Express flights. This move enables members to accumulate and use Maharaja Points across the low-cost carrier’s extensive network of over 55 destinations in South, Southeast, and West Asia.

The Tata Group-owned airline stated that members can immediately earn Maharaja Points and Tier Points on Air India Express flights by entering their Maharaja Club ID during booking on its official websites, apps, or through travel agents.

Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial Officer of Air India and Chairman of Air India Express, commented, “The expanding Air India Express network makes it timely and crucial to implement accruals and redemptions on these flights, fulfilling a long-held expectation of our frequent flyers. This also showcases our commitment to developing Maharaja Points into a significant currency over time.”
Flights with Air India Express will also contribute to tier progression, affecting both minimum flight requirements and Tier Points accumulation. The earnings structure accommodates a variety of fare types, including those for senior citizens, students, and armed forces personnel.

The airline further specified that points are based on the base fare and fuel surcharge. Members who book through the Air India Express website or app can earn 8, 10, 11, and 12 points per ₹100 spent at the Red, Silver, Gold, and Platinum tiers, respectively.

In contrast, bookings made through other channels, such as online and traditional travel agents, will earn 6, 8, 9, and 10 points across the same tiers.

Currently, redemption is limited to codeshare flights with Air India’s ‘AI’ flight code but operated by Air India Express. The specified redemption rates are for the Economy Super Value Fare:

Sector Economy Super Value Fare (Maharaja Points)
Bengaluru–Chennai 1,500
