This launch signifies a significant expansion of TCS’s global cloud offerings. The SovereignSecure Cloud platform merges sovereign cloud architecture with artificial intelligence capabilities, ensuring sovereignty over data, operations, and digital infrastructure.
According to the company, the platform aims to assist organisations within the European Union in achieving ‘digital autonomy’ while delivering the speed and interoperability necessary for contemporary business operations.
“In the European Union (EU), these solutions will empower enterprises to attain digital autonomy, enhance regulatory compliance, and fortify security within an increasingly complex global landscape without sacrificing the speed, agility, and interoperability crucial for modern businesses,” TCS stated.
This European debut follows the initial launch of the platform in India in 2025, along with expansions into Kenya, East Africa, and the Philippines. TCS mentioned that the EU version of SovereignSecure Cloud employs a multi-layered architecture to provide strategic autonomy over data and operations.
The platform features a sovereign cloud layer offered through hyperscalers, promoting scalability while adhering to European regulatory standards. Additionally, the national sovereign cloud layer ensures country-specific localization while centralizing activities under a single control plane.
Another layer incorporates TCS’s EU-specific Enterprise Cloud Framework, designed to help businesses navigate varying levels of data sovereignty based on workload, risk, and industry requirements.
Sapthagiri Chapalapalli, Head of Europe at TCS, remarked that organisations across Europe are working to balance sovereignty concerns with the need to embrace advanced technologies to maintain global competitiveness.
“The TCS SovereignSecure Cloud solutions represent a significant milestone for TCS in Europe, enabling our customers to leverage a pragmatic cloud approach that guarantees resilience and sovereignty tailored to the enterprise,” Chapalapalli emphasized.
TCS has also launched its Sovereignty Consulting and Delivery Framework in Europe, aimed at guiding companies toward becoming what it refers to as a ‘minimum viable sovereign enterprise.’ This framework classifies workloads based on risk and significance, allowing organisations to implement appropriate levels of ‘sovereignty’ tailored to each, prioritizing efforts where they will have the greatest impact and risk mitigation.
