To encourage usage, the Railways will implement a 3% discount on ticket bookings via the RailOne app starting January 14. The UTS app is being phased out, and the ‘season ticket’ feature is already no longer available.
According to CPRO Shashikant Tripathi, the RailOne app
will offer all railway services, including unreserved and reserved tickets.
As reported by the Railway Board, Southern Railway has accomplished 29.5% of its unreserved ticket bookings through mobile apps, making it one of the top-performing zones.

The board has encouraged Southern Railway to intensify its efforts to reach a target of 40% mobile-based unreserved ticket bookings via the RailOne App by March 1, 2026. This requires focused initiatives such as passenger awareness campaigns and continuous monitoring to boost the usage of the RailOne platform.
“All Divisions have shown remarkable progress in increasing mobile-based unreserved ticket bookings, with Southern Railway already among the top-performing zones. It is gratifying to observe this collective effort, and the Railway Board has called for maintaining this momentum with renewed commitment,” stated a release.
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw introduced RailOne in July 2025 on the 40th Foundation Day of the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS). The comprehensive application is available for download on both the Android Play Store and iOS App Store.
It features a variety of options, including unreserved ticket booking, live train tracking, e-catering, and grievance redressal.
