It will play a crucial role in the Visakhapatnam Economic Region, similar to the impact the Shamshabad International Airport had on Hyderabad and its vicinity, he added.
With irrigation projects, highways, ports, airports, and tourism facilities, north Andhra is on the brink of extraordinary growth, the press release stated.
