PM Modi urges states to remain vigilant on supply and pricing issues during West Asia crisis
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead a meeting with chief ministers and deputy chief ministers from states and Union Territories governed by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Thursday, June 11, marking 12 years of the coalition government at the Centre.

The agenda will likely address the execution of significant government initiatives, advancements related to the Viksit Bharat vision, and challenges arising from the ongoing crisis in West Asia, as reported by Hindustan Times, citing sources knowledgeable about the meeting.

After engaging with the NDA leaders, PM Modi is also set to preside over a meeting of the NITI Aayog governing council. This meeting is taking place amidst rising concerns regarding escalating fuel and cooking gas prices and their possible repercussions on inflation.
A number of prominent Union ministers, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, Health Minister JP Nadda, Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, are anticipated to be present at the meeting.

Review of key development initiatives

The discussion will focus on assessing the execution of critical government schemes and development initiatives being carried out by the Centre and NDA-governed states.

“There will be an evaluation of various significant infrastructure projects undertaken collaboratively by the Centre and states, along with the exchange of best practices. The leaders are also set to deliberate on how the West Asia crisis is affecting the economy and supply chain dynamics,” a BJP official informed the publication.

Prominent NDA representatives to participate

Chief ministers and deputy chief ministers from all states and Union Territories under NDA governance are expected to attend. Notable attendees may include Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Assam’s Himanta Biswa Sarma, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, and West Bengal’s Suvendu Adhikari.
