PhonePe introduces SmartPages AI tool for merchants to effortlessly create no-code payment pages using PhonePe Payment Gateway.
On Wednesday (June 10), PhonePe unveiled “SmartPages,” an AI-driven tool for creating payment pages, integrated into its PhonePe Payment Gateway (PG) dashboard. This feature allows merchants to construct digital payment pages without needing any coding knowledge, technical know-how, or manual design efforts.

The company states that SmartPages leverages artificial intelligence to create comprehensive payment pages based on a brief text description provided by the merchant.

Users can describe their product or service in a few sentences, including in local languages, and the system automatically produces structured, mobile-optimized checkout pages.
This encompasses generating product descriptions, selecting necessary input fields such as contact information or shipping details, and organizing the overall layout of the page.

According to the company, the tool is designed to tackle common challenges confronted by small and independent sellers, particularly the time and financial investments required to set up online payment interfaces. Conventional website builders and no-code platforms typically necessitate manual setup and copywriting, whereas SmartPages seeks to streamline much of this process.

Deep Agrawal, VP and Head of Payments at PhonePe, discussed the launch, stating that this product is intended to drastically shorten setup time. He noted that while traditional website creation or manual no-code tools might require hours or even weeks, SmartPages can swiftly generate a functional payment page by automating design and content generation.

SmartPages is seamlessly integrated into the PhonePe PG dashboard, enabling merchants to directly utilize payment processing features, various payment methods, and real-time transaction analytics without the need for additional integration steps.

The company also mentioned future plans to enhance SmartPages with more advanced AI capabilities. These enhancements could include analyzing a merchant’s social media engagement and previous marketing efforts to gain insights into brand tone, allowing for the creation of more personalized, context-aware payment pages.
