Mumbai suburban rail network to get new station between Mulund, Thane
The railway ministry has granted preliminary approval for the establishment of a new suburban railway station between Mulund and Thane, as stated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday.

He shared on social media a communication from Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.

Local political leaders have long advocated for the development of a suburban railway station on land belonging to the government mental hospital to enhance passenger convenience.
In the letter to Fadnavis, Vaishnaw confirmed that preliminary approval has been granted for the proposed station.

This facility is expected to significantly enhance connectivity in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, the CM expressed in a post on X, appreciating Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vaishnaw for the approval.
