Iran-US-Israel Conflict Live Updates: Trump prolongs Iran ceasefire while maintaining naval blockade, Iran terms it an act of war, as Pakistan facilitates discussions with a US delegation set to visit.

Iran-US-Israel Conflict Live News Updates: US President Donald Trump has revealed that the ceasefire with Iran has been extended while awaiting a proposal from Tehran for negotiations.

Trump stated that the naval blockade of Iranian ports will persist until Iran presents a proposal and “discussions are finalized, one way or another.”

Iran has vehemently condemned this action. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi remarked that “blockading Iranian ports constitutes an act of war and is therefore a breach of the ceasefire,” asserting that Tehran is equipped to “resist intimidation.”

Efforts are ongoing to facilitate the upcoming round of US-Iran discussions, with Pakistan working to mediate between both parties. Al Jazeera has reported that last-minute diplomatic initiatives are taking place in Islamabad to ensure the next round of negotiations proceeds.

In parallel, a US delegation is anticipated to travel to Pakistan shortly for discussions aimed at resolving the conflict. The White House indicated that the delegation may be headed by US Vice President JD Vance, alongside Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff and senior adviser Jared Kushner, according to AFP.

Tensions have escalated following the US Navy’s seizure of an Iranian cargo ship near the Strait of Hormuz, a move that Tehran has denounced as “piracy.”

In spite of the ceasefire, Israel continues its airstrikes in southern Lebanon and the demolition of homes, as reported by Al Jazeera.
