US-Iran War Live Updates: The US is working to sustain the fragile ceasefire in West Asia, with President Donald Trump reportedly encouraging Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to refrain from retaliation after Iran launched missiles at Israeli positions in response to an attack near Beirut.

Tehran has consistently stated that any broader peace agreement with Washington hinges on the ceasefire in Lebanon remaining intact.

However, Iranian officials have adopted an increasingly defiant stance. Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf accused the US and Israel of breaching agreements and cautioned that American and Israeli assets in the region might become legitimate targets.
