ED calls in Robert Vadra for interrogation in connection with fugitive Sanjay Bhandari's case.
The Enforcement Directorate has issued a summon to Congress MP Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law, Robert Vadra, for questioning concerning the case involving fugitive Sanjay Bhandari.

As per sources from the investigation agency, the summon was dispatched a few days ago, and he is scheduled for questioning on June 10.

Sanjay Bhandari and his political connections
The fraud took place during the Congress regime in 2008-09. Investigative agencies believe that certain political individuals exploited their influence and positions to benefit an international dealer through private parties. A team from the CBI has registered a case against Pilatus Aircraft Limited, a Swiss company. This case implicates the Swiss firm and several unidentified individuals linked to the Indian Air Force and the Defence Ministry. The ED has also initiated a case based on this investigation.

Connection allegations regarding Sanjay Bhandari and Robert Vadra’s London property

The ED has interrogated Vadra multiple times in relation to his London property. Although he has not been officially named as an accused, the investigation has uncovered that Bhandari allegedly provided significant bribes, benefiting several government officials and individuals connected to political families. Given the seriousness of this situation, the links between Bhandari and Vadra were scrutinized, leading to the accumulation of substantial evidence.

During previous investigations, documents pertaining to the London property were recovered, and the connection between Bhandari and employees in Vadra’s company is currently under investigation. The money transactions remain a central focus for both the CBI and ED.

In this matter, the ED team has interrogated numerous suspects; however, the primary accused, Bhandari, is currently evading capture abroad, while the CBI and ED continue to pursue several cases against him.
