According to a statement from state BJP president Pankaj Chaudhary, the party has selected 19 vice presidents and eight general secretaries. Additionally, nineteen state ministers will also serve as office bearers.
The announcement came following what party officials described as extensive discussions involving Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, senior state leaders, and the central leadership.
The appointed vice presidents include former minister Suresh Rana, Satyapal Saini, Priyanka Rawat, Archana Mishra, Pooja Pal, Suresh Maurya, and Rajesh Yadav, according to the list.
Ram Pratap Singh Chauhan, Geeta Shakya, Abhijat Mishra, Upendra Rawat, Sanjay Rai, Shankar Lodhi, Dilip Patel, and Rajesh Chaudhary have been designated as general secretaries.
All six regional presidents have been replaced.
Nawab Singh Nagar has been named regional president for west Uttar Pradesh, Puran Lal Lodhi for Braj, Ram Kishore Sahu for Kanpur, Avadhesh Dwivedi for Awadh, Ashok Chaurasia for Kashi, and Vinod Rai for Gorakhpur, as per the list.
Manish Dixit has been retained as the state media coordinator, marking his fourth consecutive term. Dinesh Pratap Singh has been appointed chief spokesperson, and Himanshu Raj Pandit will take on the role of state social media coordinator.
Party leaders stated that the new team aims to broaden the BJP’s social outreach and enhance its organizational effectiveness ahead of the upcoming assembly elections.
They also indicated that the appointments were made with consideration for representation across various regions and communities, particularly in light of the Samajwadi Party’s ongoing focus on its ”PDA” (pichhda, Dalit, and alpsankhyak) social coalition.
The BJP is anticipated to officially brief the media regarding these organizational changes in the near future.
