Bengal Government to Determine DA and 7th Pay Commission in Upcoming Cabinet Meeting: CM Suvendu Adhikari
The West Bengal government, led by Suvendu Adhikari, has introduced a website that allows citizens to monitor the progress of commitments made by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during elections.

This online tracker outlines completed promises, those currently being addressed, and the ones still outstanding.

Following his oath of office as Chief Minister on May 9, Adhikari initiated actions on some of these promises in his inaugural cabinet meeting.
The website, named ‘BJP Sarka,’ indicates that 11 promises are currently ‘in progress’ out of approximately 140 made to the electorate before the elections. Some highlighted commitments include halting illegal infiltration and addressing alleged corruption within the Trinamool Congress (TMC).

The BJP also assured the transfer of ₹3,000 to every woman’s bank account and pledged a 33% quota for women in government jobs in Bengal, including positions in the police.

The portal provides updates on various government initiatives, welfare schemes, and development projects. Additionally, it features a countdown timer indicating the remaining time for the government to fulfill the outstanding 129 promises. As of 8:07 pm on May 13, it displayed, “04 Years, 11 Months, 25 Days, 18 Hours, 44 Minutes, 30 Seconds.”

Additional commitments underway encompass legislation for a Uniform Civil Code, stringent measures to combat cattle smuggling, clearing all Dearness Allowance (DA) arrears, ensuring the execution of the 7th Pay Commission, restoring the rule of law, regaining public confidence in state institutions, granting age relaxation of up to 5 years for candidates affected by repeated exam cancellations since 2015, and completing all stalled Kolkata Metro projects.
