AbhiBus, supported by ixigo, launches roadside assistance services for bus passengers.
AbhiBus, the bus ticketing division of ixigo, has launched a Roadside Assistance program designed to support passengers in case their bus experiences a breakdown during travel.

Bus transportation continues to be popular in India, especially in Tier II and Tier III cities, where various operational and mechanical problems can occasionally disrupt services despite standard maintenance by operators.

Through this program, if a bus booked through AbhiBus breaks down while in transit, the company will arrange for a cab within 45 minutes to help passengers proceed with their journey. There will be no extra charge for customers, as AbhiBus will cover the cost of the alternative transportation.
AbhiBus emphasized that this initiative aims to lessen the inconvenience for passengers who might otherwise be left stranded due to breakdowns.

“Our travel experience doesn’t conclude at booking; it carries on throughout the journey, and we’re dedicated to being there when our customers need us the most,” said Rohit Sharma, COO of AbhiBus.

The company has also initiated a promotional campaign for the service featuring actor and dancer Prabhu Deva.

According to AbhiBus, this program is part of its wider range of customer-centric features, including bus preview images, ticket protection options, and filters enabling users to choose buses based on age and other criteria.
