In her Instagram story, Archita posted a screenshot of a news article announcing Pradhan’s resignation. She followed this with another story, claiming that attempts had been made to delete one of her posts via her mother.

Mother supports Dharmendra Pradhan
This viral post emerged even as Aparajita Sarangi publicly supported Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation. The BJP MP characterized his resignation as courageous, citing his moral responsibility for the controversy surrounding the alleged NEET paper leak.
“Shri Dharmendra Pradhan ji has submitted his resignation as Union Education Minister today. Resigning from such a prominent position while taking moral responsibility is commendable. I stand by him during this challenging time. I wish him the best for the future. May Mahaprabhu Jagannath bless him,” she shared on Facebook.
Before her political career, Aparajita Sarangi was an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer. She secured a seat as the BJP MP from Bhubaneswar in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, defeating her BJD opponent by over 35,000 votes.
Pradhan resigned as Union Education Minister just hours before the Centre’s third round of discussions with the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which had been leading the protests over the examination controversy.
Reasons behind Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation
In his resignation announcement posted on X, Pradhan explained that his decision was made with the students’ and the nation’s best interests in mind. He expressed respect for the aspirations of India’s youth and gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for allowing him to serve.
“In light of ensuring that anti-national elements do not exploit the situation arising at Jantar Mantar and across the country; maintaining national unity; preventing even one student’s future from becoming entangled in legal issues; and allowing our children to focus on their studies and career development — I have decided to submit my resignation to the Hon’ble Prime Minister,” he added.
CJP concludes 49-day protest
Pradhan’s resignation was one of the primary demands put forth by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which had protested against the NEET paper leak issue. They also sought ₹1 crore compensation for families of NEET aspirants who reportedly took their own lives after the exam’s cancellation, along with a promise that no legal action would be pursued against students who participated in the protests.
After negotiations with Union ministers on Saturday, CJP leaders announced that the Centre had agreed to all of their demands, leading to the termination of their 49-day-long protest.
