Iran’s military reported that US forces attacked an Iranian oil tanker in coastal waters and targeted another vessel close to Fujairah port in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Additionally, Iranian officials accused American air strikes of hitting civilian areas in Bandar Khamir, Sirik, and Qeshm Island in southern Iran.
Reports indicate that air defense systems were activated over western Tehran.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) indicated that its naval units encountered missile, drone, and fast-boat assaults from Iranian forces in the Strait of Hormuz. In response, US forces claimed to have neutralized “inbound threats” and struck “Iranian military facilities linked to attacks on US forces.”
Trump referred to the assaults on Iranian targets as a “love tap,” insisting that “the ceasefire is going. It’s in effect.” He later remarked to reporters: “They trifled with us. We blew them away,” while asserting that talks aimed at resolving the conflict were “progressing very well.”
In a separate incident, Palestinian detainees claimed they were subjected to torture and sexual violence in Israeli prisons. Furthermore, Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon reportedly resulted in the deaths of at least 11 individuals, including children, in the Nabatieh district.
