NSA Ajit Doval Meets UAE President to Discuss Strategic Relations and the Situation in West Asia
NSA Ajit Doval met with Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi, where discussions centered on enhancing bilateral cooperation and assessing the evolving landscape in West Asia.

The meeting, part of Doval’s official visit to the United Arab Emirates, focused on progressing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and the UAE. Key topics included energy security and wider geopolitical issues affecting the region.

During the meeting, Doval delivered greetings from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the UAE leadership. The Indian Embassy in the UAE stated that the discussions addressed ways to deepen strategic relations, the regional situation, and other matters of mutual interest.
As reported by the UAE’s state-run WAM news agency, both parties exchanged greetings and reaffirmed their commitment to bolstering bilateral relations. Doval expressed India’s wishes for the UAE’s ongoing development, while the UAE President reciprocated with good wishes for India and its people.

The talks also touched on recent changes in West Asia and their impact on regional and global security, with energy stability being a significant theme.

Senior Emirati officials at the meeting included Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security.

This engagement marks the second high-level meeting between the two nations within a month. Previously, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar had an audience with the UAE President during a two-nation trip, underscoring the ongoing momentum in India-UAE relations despite a challenging regional backdrop.
