GQG Partners offloads 1.3 crore shares in ITC Hotels through a ₹197-crore block transaction.
GQG Partners Equity Fund, a boutique investment firm based in the US, on Wednesday (April 8) reduced its ownership in ITC Hotels Ltd by offloading 1.3 crore shares, which accounts for 0.62% of the total equity, during a block deal valued at ₹197 crore.

The shares were sold at an average price of ₹152.67 each. As of December 2025, GQG Partners maintained a nearly 2% stake in ITC Hotels. The identities of the buyers in the block deal were not disclosed immediately.

Third quarter results
The company’s net profit surged by 77% year-on-year, reaching ₹235 crore compared to ₹133 crore previously. This increase in profitability at ITC Hotels comes despite factoring in several one-off events during the quarter. “The group is closely monitoring the government’s finalisation of rules and related aspects of the new labour codes, and will adjust our accounting as necessary,” the company stated in its note to accounts.

Another exceptional item includes a net loss of ₹28.58 crore attributed to inventory damage caused by cyclone Ditwah in Sri Lanka, with an insurance survey currently underway. Revenue for the quarter rose to ₹1,231 crore, an increase of 47% from last year’s figure of ₹839.5 crore.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) for the quarter nearly doubled compared to last year, soaring 90% to ₹467 crore from ₹245.5 crore. The EBITDA margin expanded nearly nine percentage points to 38%, up from 29.2% in the same period last year.

Shares of ITC Hotels Ltd closed at ₹151.60, rising by ₹4.80, or 3.27%, on the BSE today, April 8.
