Yogi Adityanath Addresses Ayodhya Ram Temple Donation Fraud: SIT Report Promptly Acted Upon as UP Police Apprehend All Eight Suspects

BJP Reshuffles Leadership in UP with New Office Bearer Appointments
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated on Friday that police actions against individuals accused of misappropriating donations for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya commenced immediately after the SIT presented its findings.

He affirmed that anyone found guilty would face consequences, during a speech in Deoria, following the arrest of all eight individuals named in the FIR by UP Police on Thursday night.

Adityanath characterized the controversy as an effort to undermine Ram devotees and tarnish Ayodhya due to “frustration” from certain political factions.
“When they found nothing else, they resorted to undermining people’s faith. Allegations against Ram devotees and efforts to defame Ayodhya Dham are taking place,” he remarked.

“Ayodhya represents the faith of all of us and Sanatan Dharma. Do not cast an envious glance at Ayodhya. It is essential to respect the dignity of Lord Ram. We had previously announced the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and assured that necessary actions would begin once its report was received,” Adityanath recalled, referencing his statements made in Ayodhya on June 19.

“The SIT report arrived, and actions commenced promptly. I assure you, as previously mentioned, we will distinguish truth from falsehood,” he stated.

The chief minister emphasized that no one would be permitted to tamper with people’s faith, warning of strict measures against anyone found culpable.

“Manipulating public sentiment is intolerable. Those who interfere with the principles of Sanatan Dharma will face repercussions. No exemptions will be allowed,” he asserted.

Adityanath accused political entities opposed to the Ram Janmabhoomi initiative and the Ram temple’s construction of falsely posing as defenders of devotees’ faith. This was an effort to discredit Ayodhya and the Ram Temple without substantiation, he added.

“If there is no evidence, cease the propaganda. If there is evidence, present it to the SIT. The government has consistently stated that the truth will prevail, and actions are being taken based on the SIT’s recommendations,” he remarked.

The chief minister urged the cessation of “political rhetoric” while the investigation is ongoing, emphasizing that professionals are overseeing the inquiry. He also called on political parties to let the investigation reach its rightful conclusion.

Adityanath criticized AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, who labeled the UP Police FIR as a “sham” during his visit to Ayodhya on Friday.

The UP CM stated that during Kejriwal’s tenure as Delhi’s chief minister, only “destruction and corruption” were evident for 15 years.

If the AAP government had operated in Delhi as effectively as the BJP has in Ayodhya, “Delhi would also sparkle like Ayodhya Dham today,” he said.

On Friday, senior officials reported the arrest of eight individuals linked to the alleged embezzlement of donations for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya as per the FIR.

The FIR was filed at the behest of Krishna Mohan, a member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, following the recommendations of the preliminary SIT report initiated by the Uttar Pradesh government to investigate the allegations.

Ayodhya SSP Gaurav Grover informed PTI that the accused are currently in police custody and will be presented in court after preliminary questioning.
