Union Home Minister Amit Shah presented the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) manifesto for the West Bengal Assembly Elections 2026 in Kolkata on Friday, April 10. This document, labeled ‘BJP’s Sankalp Patra’, outlines key commitments including the 7th pay commission, job creation, and an uncompromising stance against infiltration.
Shah announced that if elected, the BJP will embrace a “zero tolerance” approach to infiltration, stating: “The BJP government will ‘detect, delete, deport’ infiltrators from West Bengal.”
Additionally, Shah confirmed that the BJP aims to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) within the first six months of their term.
