US-Iran War Live Updates: On Thursday, President Donald Trump stated that the five-month-long conflict with Iran might soon come to an end, while also acknowledging that the US military is experiencing supply challenges with some weaponry.

“I think it’s going to end pretty soon. I don’t believe they can sustain this much longer,” Trump informed reporters in the Oval Office.

In contrast, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf dismissed Washington’s stance as “theater diplomacy,” accusing the US of switching between military threats and negotiation overtures. “Recognize the realities and meet your obligations. We don’t need more theatrics,” he posted on X.

Additionally, an Iranian parliamentary committee is examining a draft bill that would ban US, Israeli, and other vessels labeled as “hostile” from navigating the Strait of Hormuz, according to Fars news agency, citing a lawmaker. Offenders could face fines reaching up to 20% of a vessel’s cargo value.

Tensions have also heightened in other parts of the region, following a Houthi assault on Saudi Arabia’s southern Najran province that injured 11 civilians, including a four-year-old child, as reported by Reuters. Saudi Arabia cautioned that coordinated strikes by the Houthis and Iran-aligned Iraqi militias could be on the horizon.
