Since its launch in August 2022, Akasa Air has transported nearly 29 million passengers. The airline operates to 29 domestic and seven international destinations, boasting a fleet of 40 aircraft.
How Akasa Elevate operates
Akasa Elevate consists of four membership tiers. Members can ascend to higher tiers by meeting criteria based on eligible flights or qualifying expenditure.
Points can be accumulated through eligible flight bookings, along with ancillary products and services. The programme also offers tier-related benefits, which include priority services, baggage handling, seating choices, meals, and travel flexibility.
The advantages increase at elevated membership levels, with premium-tier members offered dedicated customer support and additional airport services.
Passengers can redeem points for previous travel
Akasa Air has launched a limited-time Retro Claim facility, allowing passengers who traveled with the airline from April 1, 2026, to enroll in the programme and claim Elevate Points for eligible past journeys.
In an interview with CNBC-TV18, Akasa Air Founder and CEO Vinay Dube noted that the facility applies to travel dating back to the start of the financial year.
“Initially, you can make retro claims back to the start of our fiscal year, which began on April 1, 2026,” Dube stated.
What benefits do top-tier members receive?
The elite tier of Akasa Elevate will provide greater flexibility for frequent travelers. Dube revealed that these members would benefit from no change fees, additional baggage allowances, and the ability to switch to an earlier flight without incurring charges.
The airline also intends to offer more personalized support to customers in this premier tier.
“Fundamentally, we aim to deliver highly personalized care for our most loyal customers. This is our gesture of gratitude on our fourth anniversary to the wonderful patrons who have placed their trust in us and continue to choose to fly with us,” Dube expressed.
