Publicly, the U.S. President revealed he had conversations with both Netanyahu and Hezbollah, declaring that the fighting would stop in Lebanon. “…there will be no troops going to Beirut, and any troops that have been deployed are already being recalled,” he stated.
In a private interview with CNBC, Trump dismissed worries about the recent increase in crude oil prices, asserting that Americans would likely accept higher gas prices if it meant curtailing Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
