The BCCI has revealed India’s 15-member ODI squad for the upcoming three-match home series against New Zealand, commencing January 11 in Vadodara. Shubman Gill has been appointed as captain, with Shreyas Iyer set to take on the role of vice-captain, pending fitness clearance. S

Experienced players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli remain key figures in the ODI setup, with KL Rahul continuing as the wicketkeeper-batter. Rishabh Pant has also found a place in the squad.

Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya have been given a break as part of workload management ahead of a hectic white-ball calendar in 2026, and Mohammed Shami has also been excluded.

 
The pace attack will be spearheaded by Prasidh Krishna, Arshdeep Singh, and Harshit Rana. Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar will add all-round options, while Kuldeep Yadav will manage the spin duties. Nitish Kumar Reddy has been selected as a seam-bowling all-rounder. 

This series represents India’s first ODI challenge of the year and is a crucial preparatory phase ahead of significant international tournaments later in the season.
