Sangakkara and Mahanama appointed to oversee Sri Lanka Cricket interim committee.
Former Sri Lanka cricketers Kumar Sangakkara, Roshan Mahanama, and Sidath Wettimuny have been appointed to the nine-member transformation committee overseeing Sri Lanka Cricket, following the resignation of the previous leadership.

According to local media reports, the former board members stepped down after a discussion with the country’s president, Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

Eran Wickramaratne, a former state minister and businessman, has been designated as the chairman of this new interim committee, which aims to establish a new constitution for SLC to promote enhanced management and transparency.
“Our primary focus is a comprehensive reform of the governance framework at SLC,” stated Wickramaratne.

Former Sri Lanka captain Sangakkara, who held the position of president of the Marylebone Cricket Club in 2019-20, is currently the cricket director for the Indian Premier League’s Rajasthan Royals.

Mahanama has been active in cricket administration since his retirement in 1999, serving as an ICC match referee for over a decade.
