Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) announced a change in its executive leadership on Tuesday, December 23, stating that Sukhmal Chand Jain has stepped down as the company’s Chairman and Managing Director, effective December 23, 2025.
The company also revealed that Saleem Ahmad, currently serving as Director (Projects) at NBCC (India) Ltd, has assumed the role of Chairman and Managing Director of RVNL as of December 23, 2025.

RVNL further clarified that, in accordance with the SEBI Circular dated June 20, 2018, and based on confirmation from Saleem Ahmad, he is not disqualified from holding the position of director by any SEBI order or any other regulatory body.
RVNL Q2 results
Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) reported a 19.7% year-on-year decline in net profit for the September quarter, with earnings dropping to ₹230.3 crore from ₹286.9 crore in the same period last year.
Revenue from operations grew by 5.5% year-on-year to ₹5,123 crore, compared to ₹4,855 crore in the prior year’s quarter. However, profitability faced challenges as operating performance deteriorated. EBITDA fell by 20.3% to ₹216.9 crore from ₹272 crore a year prior.
Consequently, the EBITDA margin decreased to 4.2%, down from 5.6% in the same quarter last year, reflecting increased costs and lower margins despite revenue growth.
