Earlier this week, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut suggested that splinter groups of Congress, including the Nationalist Congress Party led by Sharad Pawar and Trinamool Congress, should unite with the Grand Old Party to counter the ruling BJP’s influence.
In response to a question, Sule mentioned that neither she, nor party leader Sharad Pawar, nor senior figures like Jayant Patil and Shashikant Shinde are aware of any such proposals. ”No one has reached out to us or presented any proposals, nor have we initiated contact or submitted any proposals to anyone,” Sule stated.

Addressing the tragic death of three Indian seafarers due to a US attack on an oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman, Sule expressed the need for India to take a firm stance on this matter.
”We anticipate that the Government of India will engage in discussions…if the government fails to act, we will fully support the victims’ families and advocate for every Indian,” she remarked.
Regarding NCP (SP) leader Rohit Pawar’s indefinite hunger strike to protest the “stringent” conditions of the Maharashtra government’s newly announced farm loan waiver scheme, Sule disclosed that she advised him against such drastic measures, emphasizing their greater struggle ahead.
”The government shows extreme insensitivity, so we must maintain our strength to contest it. However, he proceeded with this decision out of his dedication to farmers,” she noted.

”I spoke with him just last night… I am immensely proud that Rohit is courageously leading this important struggle for farmers’ justice. This loan waiver illustrates the government’s callous approach towards the underprivileged,” Sule expressed.
When asked about the FIR against Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee, Sule commented, ”I find this quite predictable. In a robust democracy, everyone should have the freedom to express their views. The fragmentation of NCP was mirrored in the earlier disintegration of Shiv Sena, and now a similar scenario is unfolding in Trinamool Congress.”
