Mayor Sergei Sobyanin referred to the bomb explosion at a restaurant in Moscow as a “heinous act of terrorism,” yet did not disclose any responsible parties.
“A horrific act of terrorism occurred in Moscow yesterday, resulting in loss of life. The survivors are currently hospitalized and receiving necessary care,” Sobyanin posted on social media on Sunday.
According to Russian state media, the Saturday night blast resulted in the deaths of a security guard, a patron, and the female bomber, as reported by local officials.
