Jalen Brunson led the game with an impressive 45 points, as the Knicks finished the best-of-seven NBA Finals series in five games, achieving a remarkable comeback just days after a thrilling playoff performance.
Brunson’s outstanding display earned him the Finals MVP award as he played a crucial role in helping New York secure the title away from home in front of an enthusiastic crowd of traveling Knicks supporters.
Despite a strong start by the Spurs, who maintained several double-digit advantages throughout the game, the Knicks persevered and seized their first lead with just 3:40 remaining.
The Spurs could not recover, as the Knicks concluded a stellar championship run, suffering only three losses during the entire postseason.
