Live Updates on Iran-US-Israel War Ceasefire: Iran reportedly launches an attack on UAE’s Fujairah using missiles and drones, injuring three Indian nationals and striking an oil facility, while UAE and allies express condemnation. Tensions rise as the US and Iran exchange threats amid concerns over Hormuz.
The Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi has confirmed the injuries and is working with local authorities to ensure the victims receive necessary medical support and care.
The UAE announced that its air defense systems effectively intercepted ballistic and cruise missiles, though Iran has not formally responded to the claims.
According to the UAE defense ministry, four cruise missiles were detected, with three intercepted and one plummeting into the sea. Civil defense teams promptly managed the fire at the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone.
Various nations, including Qatar, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia, as well as the Gulf Cooperation Council and the European Union, have condemned the alleged Iranian strike.
In light of rising tensions, US President Donald Trump cautioned that Iran would face severe consequences if US Navy vessels are attacked in the Strait of Hormuz.
The US military refuted Iranian allegations of targeting a naval frigate and asserted that it had destroyed several Iranian boats attempting to disrupt maritime traffic. Danish company Maersk confirmed that a US-flagged vessel was able to navigate safely under naval protection.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated, “Events in Hormuz illustrate that there is no military resolution to a political issue,” noting that “discussions are advancing” with Pakistan facilitating mediation efforts.
