Infosys Supports an AI-Centric Future with Enhanced Focus on Cloud and Efficiency in Tech Strategy
Infosys has reaffirmed its commitment to spearheading the next wave of enterprise technology transformation, focusing on artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data, and digital solutions as key elements of its strategy. The company’s Integrated Annual Report for 2024–25 emphasizes a refined emphasis on cost efficiency, automation, and enhancing client productivity, positioning itself as the preferred partner for major global enterprises.

“We are well-recognized as the partner of choice for large enterprises worldwide,” stated Chief Executive Salil Parekh in a letter to shareholders. He characterized Infosys as a frontrunner in “AI, cloud, data, and digital,” attributing the company’s extensive expertise in these domains to its sustained relevance with global clients.

Infosys’ AI-first strategy is being propelled by its proprietary platform, Infosys Topaz, which integrates generative AI capabilities with data and cloud foundations to develop AI agents applicable across various sectors. The company mentioned that it has created a repository of these agents that assist in functions like code generation, IT operations, billing, and order management.

“We have established a repository of AI agents. These agents enhance productivity in areas such as code generation, IT operations, bill-to-cash, and quote-to-order,” the report noted. Infosys also disclosed that it has developed domain-specific language models tailored for various industries, IT operations, and cybersecurity, now offering “model development as a service” to its clients.

The company’s cloud business, known as Infosys Cobalt, continues to serve as the backbone for AI initiatives. Infosys reported that it is collaborating with “top public cloud providers, private cloud firms, SaaS companies, and PaaS platforms” to facilitate enterprise transformation at scale.

Data architecture and management remain priorities, as organizations look to harness the full capabilities of AI. The report elaborates, “Our expertise in data architecture and managing both structured and unstructured data instills confidence in our clients to leverage their data for enterprise AI deployment.”

Apart from technology investments, Infosys remains focused on cost-effective execution for its clients. “We have maintained our emphasis on cost efficiency, automation, lean processes, and improving productivity,” remarked Parekh.

Infosys concluded the year with a revenue of ₹1.62 lakh crore and an operating margin of 21.1%. Free cash flow surged nearly 45% year-on-year, demonstrating strong operational efficiency.

With a rising interest in AI across sectors, Infosys is committed to the scalable and responsible application of advanced technologies. The report frames this as “mindfully building AI capabilities,” combining infrastructure optimization, algorithmic efficiency, and robust data governance.

As digital transformation accelerates globally, Infosys is positioning itself not merely as a service provider but as an innovation partner aiding enterprises in modernizing from within.
